michael
Halfords have the full clay kit for £22.99. Was a bit of a bargain when they had the 3 for 2 offer on aswell! http://www.autopia-carcare.com/meg-g-1016.html Plus postage of course but a fair old price difference. Guest Chumpalot
sequence for me is rinse, wash, dry, clay (every few months), polish, then wax. Have taken some pics of the car but not sure they're that good as they were taken using my phone.
Guest Chumpalot
again, apologies for the PQ. Camera phone isn't really up to much. I'm off out now to get well and truly smashed, again

Doesn't say whether it comes with the lube, I assume it does though? Not much use otherwise!! //edit: yes it does, I'm just an idiot. I'm gonna give this a go one day I think - how long for a full rinse/wash/dry/clay/wash/polish/seal job then?

I got a load of stuff in the 3 for 2 at Halfords so it wasn't that expensive. You are not wrong about the price difference either!! H.

michael
//edit: yes it does, I'm just an idiot. How dare you steal my opportunity to mock you! I wish I'd ordered some more clay bars when I put my last order in with them, maybe we could do a group buy.
Sandy-m2
I'm gonna give this a go one day I think - how long for a full rinse/wash/dry/clay/wash/polish/seal job then? It normally takes me about 5 hours to do the outside. It has taken 2 of us 9 hours to do a very fine machine pollish once.
Ewen
How many times can you use a clay bar before needing a new one ?
Ian W
How many times can you use a clay bar before needing a new one ? depends on the state of the paintwork mate. I'd say twice max.
Sandy-m2
I can make one bar do the whole car but thats a push. i normally break it in half and use it untill i cant fold it and make it clean again.

I looked for what I needed, it comes to $95. + $41 for shipping!!!!!! Then again, getting the same from here is over £100.
tbourner
We just did a Sonax wash and polish on the bus, and realised how many swirl marks and stone chips there are!! I think it needs a respray but maybe a clay job will sort a lot of it out! Had to turn the car round half way through as it was impossible to polish in sunlight. supra steveo
might have to invest in some of that stuff
Rory
Whats the best thing to remove swirls? I seem to have a lot of them on my car I normally use Meguires NXT gen tech wax which I find excellent, not sure if it removes swirls though. Going to clay the car very soon as the results look amazing

tbourner
I was thinking clay then use a filler-glaze of some sort, then sealant over the top. I've got LOTS of stone chips on the bonnet as well.
