The mkiv Supra Owners Club

York - 5th October.

Just for Inf', I'm probably going to York on 5th as it's last chance

this year.......

Drag meetings are pretty thin-on-the-ground, apart from Pod, and

I refuse to waste my time there any more.

SO, unless any other, 'one-offs' crop up...............

FatS.

[ps. unless it's raining/sleeting/snowing, or, I blow it up before

then ! ! !:( ]

Can't remember...

Think ~same as Pod ? ~£10 entrance / ~£15 to run ? ?

I'll pop check site in a mo'.........

BUT, FAR more chance of NUMEROUDS runs than at Pod...

you can EVEN afford to 'step-out' of the queue and rest/cool yer

mota ! !

At Pod, you CAN'T, to get a few runs in you HAVE to keep in line,

trickling/idling/stop/start.... it's MURDER ! !

OH YORK..... here I come ! ! !:p

hi

i will take a ride over. last 2 times i have been only supra there. was in the class system where you race against simular spec cars.also get to race with the 4wd lads.

chance of a small trophy for winner of each class. and there is a nos kit for fastest reactions. not sure how that works.

is that the same date as the elvington thing gaz and kev going to

york seems good as you get the full lights and propper times with 60 foot and trap speeds. they also put your results on there web site. so no bullshitting you did a 10 second 1/4 all ya times there.

my last visit there X74 Monkey Mark

not brilliant but getting consistant in times , and 60 foot times coming down. reaction times are ok i think.

should have my tc fitted to see what difference it makes.

could do with an oil change too.

steve you doing the run what you brung or the class system

i was in class x with 4wd boys. you could ask that bloke with artificial leg. he is called des brown. ask him about if you can do class x and rwyb so you can get more runs in.

see ya there if you off

will be nice to see supra in action

whos going on track?

you up for a blast. will have my tc in next weekend. need to get some octane booster or something. something to look forward to. will be good to see a few supras there.

it feels slow on track. but its fun racing other cars.

in 4wd they pull 1.7 - 1.8 60 foot times

we seem to be 2.1-2.6 60 foot my best one has been 2.2

its good when you get it right beating scoobies off line :)

whos racing then

matt looks better than pod for grip.they have 2 types of surfaces on start line. normal stuff for slicks and drag radials. then there is a section like that stuff on bus lanes for mor grippy starts.

only trouble i have is auto wont hold more than 2-2.5k in revs before wheels spin on line. once you going it is fine.

just got this below for all you people coming from far away

you can win a small trophy in the CLASS system and a nos kit for best reaction times, not sure what you have to do to win it, if its over the season?

ps think its the same day oct 5th as the elvington shoot out that kevin h is going to with the 200+ club

not too sure about the 'Class' thing - I mean, YOU'D win anyway:p

(though could do it just to SUPRA-it up a bit ? ?)

have you had the york booklet through post yet? they send you a small booklet with cars that have been at the strip. last time i was there this GEEEZA was taking pics of my car on start line. who knows could make it in the next edition. they also put up the best reaction times and peoples names that have been in some of the shoot out events. dont seem to do it with rwyb. the thing i have started taking part in is THE CRUISE MISSILE SHOOTOUT where the best reaction times are added up the more times you run to get an overall winner of the season wins a 150bhp wizards of nos kit.

with the rwyb you get to race all sorts of cars. try pair yourself with your mates for a grudge match :)
