DaveK
When I turn the ignition to start the car, there is a very slight delay before the starter actually turns. It's only about 1/4 -1/2 of a second - and then the starter spins normally and the car starts fine. I assume this is not normal? It seems as if the starter / solenoid is briefly sticking. Guest MtFuji
Could be. Common problem is with the starter solenoid contacts. I've seen it go both ways- stuck open (no start) or stuck closed (very exciting mad dash to the battery cable). You can order new contacts aside from a new starter.
