YES!!!!

Unless at an organised event. Too mad... too dangerous and way too many accidents every year!!

I remember when I was at school around this time of year you would see rockets flying across the playground!! It was scary stuff!!!! You had to be on your toes!!

should fireworks be banned. what is you opinion because it looks like it going to happen very soon.

Hell no, any sick fcuk can torture a cat, dog, goat etc in an infinate amount of cruel sadistic ways, it would be like serving all food pre-cut into tiny pieces and banning knives just incase some retard decided to stab someone!

"Last year 990 people needed hospital treatment for firework injuries during the four-week period around bonfire night – and more than half of them were under the age of 18. By law no one under 18 can buy fireworks or even carry them in a public place. "

So half the people were under 18 thus breaking the law, so if fireworks are banned i would assume these people wouild still buy them for more money, not knowing the content and still breaking the law!!

Where is the logic in that?

I voted no, I'd hate to see a total ban on fireworks - what I would like to see is restrictions.

People shouldn't be able to buy huge industrial bomb-like fireworks in the supermarket or high street shops, Joe public should be resticted to the small, less dangerous stuff we used to have access to a few years ago, the little Standard boxes rather than the crates of 100000 shot firework bombs.

Yes people can still harm themselves with something as simple as a catherine wheel but at the end of the day these are the same kind of people who can hurt themselves with anything.

Over 18's only and restrictions on when you can set them off.

I love fireworks, I just don't like the idea of my retarded neighbours being in control of something big enough to blow up my car, or rockets with sticks big enough to impale me when they fall from the sky - that kind of thing should be limited to pro displays.

If they weren't for sale anywhere they wouldn't be able to buy them, simple really.

If you're injured by a firework you are breaking the law? I didn't know that!

What has dependancy got to do with wanting something?

Imagine these people meeting their dealer on some seedy back street "How much for 3 small rockets, 5 sparklers and a catherine wheel?" and robbing old grannies handbags to feed their firework habit ;)

I meant if fireworks were banned that people would still source and buy them thus still breaking the law.

Not having a go matey but what if some chav or village idiot set a firework of through your letter box and your house was to burn down or someone had set a firework at you causing you to be blinded for life.

Would your opinion be the same?

after last years events, of chavs throwing rockets etc into the bonfire at a organised event and shooting out into the crowd, yes, i think fireworks should be banned from normal sale, and only availible to propper events
