carl0s
I would have been happy to pay the £18.49 that a huge roll of bubble-wrap costs from Office world. I would also have been happy to say fuck it, the doors are repairable and at least he threw in the door cards which I wasn't expecting, but the 'modified for larger speakers' butchering they have had is pathetic. Can these be re-covered? http://www.uk2sucks.net/doors/1.JPG http://www.uk2sucks.net/doors/2.JPG http://www.uk2sucks.net/doors/3.JPG http://www.uk2sucks.net/doors/4.JPG http://www.uk2sucks.net/doors/5.JPG http://www.uk2sucks.net/doors/6.JPG http://www.uk2sucks.net/doors/7.JPG http://www.uk2sucks.net/doors/8.JPG http://www.uk2sucks.net/doors/9.JPG

carl0s
Do we still think I got a good deal for £100 + £60 postage. Have spare glass for both sides, mirrors, handles, and repairable doors.
Pete
I hope you signed for as damaged/bashed box? If so then claim on the delivery company for the bashing they got! New doors
Kev.O
£60 postage!!!!!!!!
carl0s
I can shrink the images Maybe I should change the topic title so I can point him here. The door cards weren't to be included anyway - his description said he also has some door cards for sale separately but they have been modified for larger speakers. No wonder he didn't bother trying to sell them in the end !! Also, is cutting the wiring loom at the grommet really the only way to do this? Is there not a nice plug that could have been disconnected and pulled through?

New doors I did sign as damaged, yes, but it's clearly the fault of the sender.. inadequate packaging, yes?

carl0s
£60 postage!!!!!!!! They are extremely heavy.. much heavier than I would have expected.
Pete
I did sign as damaged, yes, but it's clearly the fault of the sender.. inadequate packaging, yes? They would try to argue that (rightly so really), but maybe you could throw some bubble wrap around them to make it look more adequate. The box left without a great big hole in it. It looks like it's been thrown about to me with no 'reasonable' care taken.
Kev.O
It's clear that none of that money has gone into the packaging!
carl0s
.. Two excellent condition black doors for mark four toyota supra, no dents. Complete with glass, handles and door mirrors. Door cards are available, but have been modified for large speakers. Delivery may be possible depending on location.
Whitesupraboy2
werent you after just the glass anyway to be honest i bet you could sell those cards with mounts on here for a bit as people are always upgrading their sound system and from the small pics you've posted you also have the amount. You should maybe post on here a swap + £50 or something. Their ideal for someone wanting bigger speaker + tweeter setup
carl0s
I presume the door cards have had Crossover boxes screwed onto them hence the four holes. Who would do such a thing?!
carl0s
werent you after just the glass anyway I was, you're quite right.. hence why I'm still thinking perhaps I didn't do so bad. It just could have been so much better, for the sake of a bit of bubblewrap. to be honest i bet you could sell those cards with mounts on here for a bit as people are always upgrading their sound system and from the small pics you've posted you also have the amount. You should maybe post on here a swap + £50 or something. Their ideal for someone wanting bigger speaker + tweeter setup I'll see if anyone's interested. What do you mean about the 'amount'? I'm trying to find a useful batch image resizer for gnome as we speak
Whitesupraboy2
I'll see if anyone's interested. What do you mean about the 'amount'? sorry meant mount mis type. You have the mounts pre-made and attached to card to support and hold the bigger speakers, saves alot of hassle!
Pete
I presume the door cards have had Crossover boxes screwed onto them hence the four holes. Who would do such a thing?! You can get some really cool looking cross over boxes with lights etc in. Some people like that kind of thing.

carl0s
Hmm that's interesting. The chap has just come back to me and said: Hi carl I did not box the door my self it was done by DHL. I will contact them tomorrow and see what they will do. I don’t think bubble wrap would have saved them anyway. That a shocking condition to deliver something. I didn't know DHL would do the packing, but that surely increases my chances of some kind of compensation.
