Exhaust Baffle ? (Track Days)

Sharpie

Recommended Posts

I bought a baffle (£5) which, is a few mm out from the diameter of my exhaust.

Baffle is 111.5mm and tail pipe is 118.5mm

Now, since I have not seen one close up before, do they need to be a tight fit or could I get away with it ?

The only reason I NEED one is to keep dB(A) down at the track.

If it needs to be a tight fit, I'll get it mod'd.

I think it needs to be a tight fit. You'd be able to tell though - I mean, is it quieter?

I put the baffle in my RSR last week, and was astonished at how quiet the car became. It was almost like the stock exhaust. Unfortunately, it was a very tight fit, and i wasn't able to push it in far enough to get the screw in. Four days later while flooring it down the A653 Dewsbury road in Leeds the fucking thing shot out of my exhaust and I saw it bouncing down the road in my rear view mirror

Was rush hour too

Darren want's the silencer for the RSR babe, hope you've still got it :p Apparently his neighbours have been complaining about the noise, he even asked me if it was legal! Freak
