weinelm
Further to the thread that I posted some months ago, I've finally got my RaceLogic traction control up and running on a Supra which doesn't have ABS. Hurrah! http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=31018&highlight=RLTC+ABS I have to say I couldn't have done it without the help of many people from this forum and RaceLogic themselves. I took me a while to weight up the various options and decide which was the best way to go, but I think I’ve got a solution that is neat and works. It hasn't cost me a fortune either (compared with RLTC on an ABS equipped car). To fit the system I ended up replacing the front hubs for ABS equipped ones and using the propshaft speed sensor to run the RLTC in “three sensor mode” - all of this turned out to be fairly easy to do. The reasons why I chose to do it this way are fairly detailed, but I might try and write it down at some point if anyone is interested. I've got a few more photos to come back from the developers too. I’ve got a bit more tweaking to do on the traction file, but my first impressions are that the system is excellent. In the dry you can power drift around roundabouts and in the wet it will stop you spinning to your doom! It is also allowing me to explore the handling of the car much more than I was previously confident to do. So thumbs up for RLTC!

karoltom
I have Supra N/A without ABS and I'd like to add one. Can you give a list of parts used or modifications to make it working? All parts location. Should I change everything whats on that picture?
Andrew K
I'm interested in knowing this also and all the info you've gathered up doing this as wouldn't mind doing it to my car as well.
SupraLEDrears
I wonder if he still owns a supra nearly 12 years later

Andrew K
Didn`t you get the traction setup on the syvecs? its supposed to work really well. My car originally didn't have ABS so I haven't got the sensors going to the wheels and all the other associated parts.
mellonman
Why would you need rltc on a N/A is my question Or will this be another NA/T thread
David P
Well done, that's novel, it makes a pleasant change to anal's ripping out ABS because they think it's not pretty.
karoltom
wow, didn't check the date Anybody else added ABS to his Supra MKIV? Traction control is not really required, just ABS. I'd like to use it as a daily car so I would feel a lot safer with ABS
weinelm
Wow! This is a blast from the past! As Harrypm82 correctly surmised I don't own a Supra any more. I had to sell it in 2006 when I got a job abroad. Since then I've owned a 2007 WRX, 1999 Land Cruiser and a couple of sheds. I'm now living in Europe and driving a 2012 Alpina D3. I originally wanted to fit out my NA with RLTC as I was a bit of novice to rear wheel drive cars, but also was intending to go NA-T. I didn't fit a full ABS system, just the ABS hubs and sensors. Initially I just swapped the front hubs and used the prop shaft to get the rear wheel speed, but in the end I also swapped out the rear hubs to get four wheel speeds, which seem to improve the RLTC performance slightly. If you're planning to do this note that you also have swap out the rear drive shafts for ones with ABS teeth. Also the NA drive shafts and different to the TT ones, with the TT ones being thicker. I can't recall if they are interchangeable or not. It's a long time ago, but I'll try and help if anyone is doing this project.

karoltom
I'll try to check parts availability in Poland or UK and then I will decide what to do
