terribleturner
Am i reading this right? You've changed your tyres twice in the last 3 years?
Pete
Probably not. The ones called "ability" are cash deals with a friend...can't remember what for though! What amazed me is that I only did 5k miles in one year!
terribleturner
That's damn good though. I think i've done just under 3K in the last 6 months, but i blame it all on the TT slippery slope of more power
Pete
Ah well - more than one mode of transport! http://www.pbarfield.com/gallery/albums/userpics/10001/TheFleet.JPG
Whitelightning
I spend that much on the car monthly !!
Homer
That seems pretty reasonable Rogue, particularly as it seem you have kept the car in good running order rather than making do with cheap options. Thought I'd do a quick calculation of my spending on the Supra for the past year, must admit I'm a bit shocked!! Purchase price March 2004: £10,750 Spending on routine maintenance, servicing and replacement of faulty parts: £3,597 All modifications, inc labour for fitting: £5,200 Repair & full respray after minor accident in Dec 04: £3,740... so far Total spend: £10,750 on original car, a further £12,537 spent getting it in in nice condition. Still got some minor stuff to sort out but the car will be in MINT condition in the next couple of months Next: Racelogic, injectors, boost controller... Thorin
So far this year alone... Misc £20 Service items £87 Exhaust £358.95 Tyres £574.30 Insurance £213.57 Parking £107.91 Petrol £488.24 Total £1849.
Pete
You can't include petrol that's cheating! That seems pretty reasonable Rogue, particularly as it seem you have kept the car in good running order rather than making do with cheap options. I don't believe in cheap component substitutes. I've been lucky in that I've got good parts at the right price/time.
Digsy
I got used to running a car on a fixed monthly payment when I had cars on lease. I try to work out when everything will fall and how much it will be and then work out how much I have to transfer into a separate account each month to make sure there is always enough money there to pay for it all. £400 per month at the moment
