Tom
I wondered if someone could look at my dyno at tell me what everything is, as I don't have a clue! What's the torque figure? And does it all look normal?

Alex
Erm ok so that's a first...less power at the fly than stock. You sure you've got the 2 dyno plots the right way round as the other one looks like the extrapolated fly figure. What mods you got?
Tom
Here's the at the wheels figure again, and just a hks hiper, both cats in.
Tom
And yep right way round, 268bhp and the 220 rwhp
SkyJawa
Tom are you running TTC? I've never seen a supra graph without a dip as no2 comes online, unless a single or in TTC........... (unless your no2 isn't coming online) Did they tell you what the boost was? Its the wheels graph to go from (apparantly the fly figures were a bit weird yesterday). michael
Looks like a run using part throttle?

geoffvalenti
Originally posted by TDRAPER couldn't tell me the boost as I dont have a gauge to hook up to or whatever it was What! You can't seriously be saying that they hadn't got a boost gauge they could attach to your car for the run I think you could be mistaken If they've invested thousands on a dyno, they're not going to run turbo cars without knowing the boost. Granted you really should have a boost gauge fitted for your own peace of mind, but I would expect them to have an accurate and regularly calibrated one for use when doing power runs or tuning/mapping. All IMHO, of course
Jake
I think Tom is saying that because he doesn't have a boost gauge the SRR chaps didn't know where to connect their boost reading device. Mine was the first car on the rollers yesterday and I had to show them where the boost gauge T piece is so that they could tap into it. G-Force in Ayelsbury know what they're doing, and they'll hook you up with the boost readings too.

You serious Jake, a professional tuning company don't know how or where to connect a boost gauge IME, anywhere after the throttle butterfly will suffice, there's 2 or 3 accessible places on the Supra. Sure they weren't kidding you
Jake
I don't know about Tom's, but in my case (first of the day) I think they were just a bit lost looking at a Supra engine for the first time. I'm sure they could have found it if they'd tried but it was just easier to ask me if I could show them where the boost gauge is plumbed in. Tom's should have been easy enough after they'd done mine, perhaps him not having a boost gauge threw them. :shrugs:
geoffvalenti
Yeah, you're probably right Jake, not being there its impossible to say whether they'd have found it easily or not but I'd have hoped so I was just surprised with Tom saying that they didn't connect a boost gauge as a matter of course. Dragonball
Thats the same kind of graph that Sheena had - and why it looked as if the second turbo is not coming on-line? That would make sense as there is no transition from one to another? Is yours coming on strong m8? And they had a boost gauge for everyone else? Tom
Paul, Yeah the car pulls fine, James took it out for a spin and he confirmed it was ok, Boost gauge is next on the list!, once that's fitted I'll be able to see what's going on! Tom
I have once or twice heard a sort of "air escaping" sound, been at around 3k, if I have a split hose are they easy to replace? and how much?
Tom
Here's China's dyno at the wheels, we have almost Identical power figures. Is this how my graph should look?
Guest Usmann A
not to put a downer on anyone here, but how can you dyno a car without a Gauge? and not knowing where to plumb it in? doesnt sound very assuring TBH. They might be good chaps'n'all but. DO they do any mapping work?
