My new Big brake kit arrived, thoughts needed please.

Hi All,

Had my 356mm 8pot Front and 356mm 4pot Rear Big brake kit arrive today, WOW, they are huge !!

But for reasons i dont know they have come in a different colour to what i requested.

I asked for Silver but i got Yellow instead??

Now I dont really want to wait another 6 weeks for replacement brakes to be delivered so i wanted opinions on how these would look on a Silver Supra??

I think they may be ok but i am not 100% sure, Maybe as i was expecting a less dramatic look..

Big brakes look cool regardless of colour IMO

Hmmm yeah looking at that picture they look ok, they make a nice statement but not too bold..

On Guigy's old supra, might be a quicksilver supra though

Yeah the rear bells have the handbrake drum incorporated so will work fine with the standard handbrake.

I think they will look okay, but personally would not have them in that colour (I'm a bit fussy about non-stock looking items )

Put it this way, if every time you look at them in the future will you be happy with the colour or will you have that nagging thought they would look better in silver? If it's the latter then unfortunately it would be best to get them replaced with the colour you wanted. No point spending all that money and not getting exactly what you wanted.

The first thing that came to mind was that Porsches look good in silver with the yellow calipers (for the ceramic brakes).

I'd say keep them, they'll make the brakes stand out more and for the money you paid that's certainly a good thing

I think people are missing the point here: Richard ordered a silver BBK and got pukey yellow instead - that's not a great service IMO.

I would get them in silver, you are trying to convince yourself they look good as you want them on the car ASAP. Ask yourself this, if you could get them swapped in a day to silver would you put the yellow on?

they dont look to bad, think they would suit a silver supra more than silver callipers would, finish on them looks spot on, go on mate:) yellow is a great colour for callipers, very mechanical looking

Sorry mate but its pukey looking yellow to me, if they had been a stronger yellow then maybe but you ordered silver so pretty crap service in my book, good job they dont paint cars for a living

they look the nuts, i dont think they made a mistake, i think they knew it would look good so sent you it!

i be honest a lil darker though would be better, it is slightly a vomit yellow.

IMO the purple D2's ow yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaah, now those are sexy!
