Max Headroom
My dad died last Sat, my stepmum came downstairs and found him face down on the floor, looks like he had a massive heart attack. He had been at an art exhibition the day before and sold all his paintings and was in a happy mood, and he had talked about how proud he was of us all. He went how he would have liked, quickly and not lingered. He was 75 and had smoked all his life. Stepmum is in shock and I have been round sorting all the practical side with her. Live life to the full and enjoy every day.

mathew
It must have been tough for you watching your grandfather suffering, at least now he is free from that. Keep remembering him. i think it was the hardest thing ive ever had to do. it was the 'straw that broke the camel's back' so to speak as a lot of things have happend in the last couple of months and visiting him last week just brought everything to a head and i had a breakdown in front of my folks. i hadnt had been eating, struggling to sleep and just struggling to function with day to day things for the last 3 weeks. to say they were shocked is an understatment but a couple of appointments with my GP later and the support of my friends and family im on the road to recovery. Aldo87
My nan was told she had cancer a few weeks ago, and once they told her, they wanted her out of the hospital. So we re-decorated one of the rooms in the house so she could live with us, took us A couple of weeks to do, then she passed away 3 days later after she moved in. We where lucky though as it was so sudden, she wasn't in too much pain. Time is a big healer

Max Headroom
It seems many of us have lost relatives close to us recently, I can say that my father lived his life to the full. He had his music, he was a bandmaster in the Army and taught music when he left the Army. He took early retirement and built model boats and became a well respected artist, passing on his craft to others. Whilst I feel sad I know that he lived every day to the full.
