Thorin
I'm replacing my RSR exhaust due to it rusting through. It's been on the car ~5 years, and is curiously the back box section that has rusted through (just behind the actual box). Exhaust manufacturers lie. Thorin
Rusted through in the grey section of pipe to the right of the back box here... Thread I posted when I got it fitted. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=33138 edit: so 4.5 years going by that thread date. Animal
Mine was just a stainless back box and the pipe rotted through at the joint where the spring-clip fixes to. It lasted maybe 3 years. In terms of noise, on a fully decatted n/a, it was very loud with the baffle in and unbearably loud without the baffle - the noise at 60,ph actually felt like it was pressurising the cabin and I had to open the windows. It's the only time I've ever been afraid to press an accellerator, lol. [edit] Yep - that's where mine rusted through, too

Thats what i want a very loud exhaust, however i am not happy about the RSR if its mild steel to be honest as i'll be swapping mine for a used RSR so it may not last too long. Might have to persue a swap with the Nur Spec R again instead

Thorin
NA's are MUCH louder when decatted though. I never took the baffle out of mine in the whole time I had it on the car, don't think it's ear bleedingly loud on a decat TT, but certainly very loud still. Thorin
Would the Nur Spec R be AS loud then mate? I think the RSR is supposed to be a bit louder than the Nur.
