Abz
Hello Ladies & Gents, I am new to the Supra Club, which I have had a very warm welcome. An I hope to become a full member by next week! I have a bit of a dilemma...I am planning to view\buy a Supra in N. Ireland next week on Wednesday 8th April. This Supra is a N\A -T which was done 2007, a couple of members have advised to give is car a good looking over, I would be cautious anyway as this is a conversion so would need extra time to run over this. I have printed out the guides as well which are a massive help I would love if someone could come along with me to help view this car an provide some knowleadge & common sense! I would obviously compensate for your time & effort. Ideally if you could pick me up another with a friend from Belfast City Airport (as I would rather arrive at the owners house then get picked up as he did offer). I am a full member of FTOOC an they have all kindly offered to help, but I would perfer someone with some knowleadge of Supra's to provide some helping hand. Thanks guys!!! _Shane_
would save another bit of money and buy a TT supra instead
Abz
Yeh thought of that, but a lot of the TT's seem to be in the 8k range for a decent one. Lets see how this one is, I am sure I'll be after a TT maybe in a couple of years. This one is low mileage as well which has interested me. Guys if your able to text me an let me know if anyway can assist me, like I mentioned I am willing to pay you your travel costs an some beer money, well a few beer monies! =D Thanks Abz
bigbloodyturbo
If i was you i'd steer clear of that car, I believe its been on ebay before and I think I seen it when I was buying my own last August. When the guy was asked about what he's done for fuel control and other electronics he said nothing, turns out he had bought an el cheapo single kit and bolted it on the week before thinking it would make him more money and be easier to sell than a standard na. I could be wrong but it looks very similar, was red, was in N.I, had a dodgy looking single conversion and didn't mention anything about fuel control in the ad. Just be cautious. As I said I could be wrong but if someone can vouch for the guy then fair enough but the fact he's got a single running no filter is bad enough. If he'd done it properly he'd of clocked the manifold or used a 4runner dizzy, just wee things like that make it look a bit funny. With the price of sup's now there's no point in your first supra causing you un-necessary heartache.
Jellybean
was just goin to say get in contact with Martin/colin from Supra Specialist Ireland Especially if the car is in NI, they probably had at least serviced it once and would know of it I would be cautious of a NA to turbo unless Martin and col had a look at her
