Chris Wilson
I think people are overloaded with terrorist news, hi-jackings, recession, blah blah. Unless it's outside my front door I'm past caring
SteveR
I was looking at the pictures earlier today. One worrying comment about the hotel sieges: Hotel guests said they hid in their rooms in darkness as gunmen went from room to room looking for foreigners. Why specific targets? They clearly have some no doubt horrible action in mind... what?

JustGav
I have to admit what's going on in Mumbai isn't a numero uno worry of mine right now, sorry. Sad but very true.... At this point in time with the economy and the state of jobs, priorities are at home. I make no excuse for that view either at the moment. michael
Lots of call centres in Mumbai, perhaps it's a team of people sent out to stop the management of UK companies outsourcing even more jobs there? Either way... meh.

JustGav
Certainly won't disagree with you Gav, but at the same time it's not something to be ignored. Don't get me wrong, not ignoring it, I do keep abreast of news and what happens, however it is an outside distraction at this point in time for me, yes it is selfish however I need to look after what I can within my reach at the moment..once that is sorted then energy can be spent on fixing the world. Like I said, I dont disagree. I feel for those involved, but as you say we have to get on with our own things. That is priority, such is life. But this is quite an opperation and must have taken some organising. Attacks have been relively sparce lately, but this could signal a rise again. colsoop
Another Mickey mouse terrorist offshoot Good job that the people (in the looseist sense) who sign up for these groups tend to be a bit empty headed or lots of people would be dead. Tourist spots in less secure countries will always be the "fish in a barrel" for terrorists.

What are you doing to help then? As bad as it sounds I'm with Chris. Yes its awful, but I can't do anything about it. It does help put issues at work into perspective but as that is something I can affect, thats what my priority is.
Sharpie
It only made the UK news as it was foreigners being hit. I was in Bangalore for a couple of weeks, a month or so back, and it was a daily event bombs going off around the country, being shown on the nightly news. Bobbeh
India has a battle on its hands and with 300 million muslims inside the country it's going to be tricky to deal with this stuff.

Lbm
It said on the radio this dinner they are after people with UK and American passports. I must admit as I heard this on the radio in the car, I started speaking out aloud with a German accent. I don't know why! I just did. Edit: Wait a minute... Jackson tricks me into speaking English. "That's how you're going to get caught Memsaab," he warns me.
