georigg
Hi Paul, Have a look at the attachment to this post, two attachments, one covering manual transmission and one covering autmatic transmissions. both cover diffs as well. snake
If you do the diff oil make sure you undo the filler hole FIRST just incase it's seized
Swampy442
Good advice there, took me 2 allen keys and a long bar to get my filler plug off lol. Also if you get some bits of metal on the drain plug (cos its magnetic) dont worry too much about it, unless theres loads gear teeth on it! alex2jz
In the attachment for the MT, for the 6spd transmission it's recommended to use Toyota V160 oil or ESSO ATF DEXRON, which is easier to find but it's specs say that it is for automatic transmissions so is it safe to use on the 6spd? Tricky-Ricky
OK i have a quick tip for changing the oil in a six speed, the drain and filler plugs are pretty easy to find, but getting the oil in is no joke as there is no clearance for filling, so get yourself a length of garden hose and a funnel, poke the hose down beside the back of the engine, plenum side, crawl back underneath and poke the hose into the filler hole, locate the funnel into the top of the hose and fill until oil starts to overflow, simple! This all presumes you already have the car jacked up on a level surface

monkey3
It's recommended on here that you only use V160 with the getrag 'box. Bolarbag has 1lt of V160 left (I got 2 as it's quite hard to come by ) http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=162013
Luxluc
I am using MOTUL Gear 300 for my gearbox, and MOTUL gear competition for the diff.
