BMW colour change with vinyl wrap

When I was formulating one of my money making schemes I came up with something rather similar. Initially I thought of the clear covering to protect from stone chips................someone beat me to it. Then I took the idea a step further with the whole colour change thing. I didn't think there would be any chance of being granted a worthwhile patent so didn't pursue it any further. I'm thinking this could be a viable business for mass produced colours, but for custom jobs probably not.

I'm glad to see someone has actually tried it though.

Didnt they have that stuff in that rubbish american version of Taxi? they did it to the BMW's i think.

yeah i remember that, blue to red or vice versa. :)

with a vinyl wrap would there not be no depth to the colour also after washing it a few times would it not scratch and swirl easily? after a while i doubt there would be any shine left?
