Must admit, i don't know anyone who steals cars so i can't really comment on what "most people" would do. However, i have heard of this happening many many times. When i had my evo i left it at my cousins house for them to look after while i was on holiday. I suggested that i could put it on stands and take the wheels off. He said not to bother, if someone wanted to steal it and i had done that, they would do a lot of damage to the car probably writing it off just out of spite. it happens all to often, its just this guys luck that it took out the other 2 cars. At 2.45am? I doubt anyone would have known a thing until the tyres and tanks exploded. Besides which it doesn't take long for a car fire to destroy a car either.
