Well my short term memory is really quite poor, i will forget sinmple things like putting the milk away or remembering where i put my pen down after holding it only 30 seconds earlier.

Yesterday i left my ipod at the gym, what odsd will you give me on that being there when i go in an hour ? Im working on slim to none

The thing is if i do something regularly i have it stored for life, i know all my bank account no's, the no's on my debit cards etc.

Anybody else have bad short term memory.

Hi col

If you've a lot on your mind at the moment, your mind will be flitting around from one thing to another and unable to focus on any one thing. Tiredness can be a cause too, how are you sleeping? As someone else has said, stress can be a factor.

I started taking Co-Enzyme Q10 to help my energy levels and its had a positive effect on my levels of concentration and memory too, much better and less tired generally. You can get if from most health stores, take it regularly and see how it goes. I get Holland and Barrett' - this one on special offer at the moment:

ginseng is also really good but it can disturb your sleep as it makes you hyper in large doses!!

Hope you get it sorted ;)

I suspect it is the lack of sleep i get these days. it certainly isn't stress, i haven't been stressed by anything in about 5 years :D

The good news is some kind soul turned my ipod in to the reception which is nice :)

Thats good. Well as long as you can remember how to get to the gym now though ;)

I think memory can be trained to improve a bit like muscles. I dont know what excercises you could use to improve it though. My spelling got a lot worse since I started texted and stopped writing essays for school etc. Stuff on your mind is bound to influence the way you think. I hear certain foods aid memory, but i dont know which. Certain herbs and supplements too. It's good your taking excercise.. that shows your trying to improve / maintain your health levels.. so well done. :)
