bmx1lew
Right I have played my fair share of RPG's and MMO's, my favorite style of Role playing games has been the Final Fantasy series. I like the futuristic Japanese theme's, music, special effects, charterer style's and the fact thre not based around Dugeons and Dragons however they stop at the consoles, is there any RPG's or MMO's that are similar to the Final Fantasy series that are on pc? Why are most RPG's and MMO's based around Western, castle times, like Dungeons and Dragons, or Terry Brooks book's, is there nothing as outrageous as Final Fantasy? I know theres the FFXI online but again.. Castle time theme which i hate, any one got any recommendations of any games that may fit this category, I need some thing to get into for the winter I am bored of first person shooters, I need some thing more in depth, like a decent RPG or MMO. Rollin_Thunder
RPG's are good but can be short & MMORPG's are a rip off, i played FFXI for a few months solid & made average progress id say, but it relayed to much on partys (1/2 of which never spoke English) if MMORPG were FREE then im sure they would get even more players, there moving into the world of FPSMMORPG in the form of a game called huxley looks good just as long as its a FREE server PSU (phantasy star universe) has a offline story mode as well as a online mode, which is good idea
bmx1lew
whats never winters knight like? any one played it, i baught FFXI and its the worst game i have ever played!
Animal
Neverwinter is great. Lucy is part way through NW 2 and it looks fantastic although the amount of cut scenes is a bit annoying. I've got NW1 and all expansions and really enjoyed it, especially once you've got past the initial 'talk to everyone and get all the quests' bit. It's your classic AD&D stuff, but as an ex-dice rattler, that's no bad thing.
bmx1lew
is it any thing like bolders gate or nox, if so that was class.
Animal
Yeah, it's like Baldur's Gate, but way prettier and using the latest D&D rules
bmx1lew
think i shall go to hmv tonight and purchase it, i have gave up my quest for Final fantasy style games for the pc, i cant find any and the ones that do have a futuristic theme have bad reviews, apart from that FFXI is just a complete joke the controle system is terrible
Animal
You can't go wrong with a good dungeon crawl every so often. The bonus with Neverwinter is the amount of user quests and stuff you can download
