Clifford alarms?

any one work for clifford? whats the best alarm?

Ring Gap security for their advice, don't buy from them though their very expensive lol

I think as they get more expensive it just means they are including more gadgets as standard on that alarm? Just get a basic cat 1 clifford then add the toys at a later date, unless you want one with all the extras, intelli start/dual zone/anti hijack and so on! Depends how much your looking to spend really.

i just called gap and was about to pau 900 pounds as he reduced the price from 1189 so he said. He also told me its the best alarm and they only have it advant 5.5. So i called another place to find ou that alarm is no longer available as it an old one and they are trying to get rid of their stock, ass**** tryed selling me an old type alarm

yea iv got quoted of ebay 500 fitted for that one, with warranty and certificate

Do not use Gap. The people i used from Gap were absolute cowboys and completely messed up the install. Find a good VSIB approved fitter.

Try Sextrons at Maidstone, Matt Harwoods old place.

Used them a number of times before and they are very good.

Avant gaurd is good but I think has too much stuff on that you dont need. I have the 650 MKII and im very impressed with it, apart from the old remotes are not compatible with it

The Avantguard isn't insurance approved, so be careful if your insurance company requires you to have a Thatcham approved system.

The C650 is a good system. DON'T use GAP, and personally, I'd avoid anyone from Ebay too. Unless you know they're going to do a good job, and will come back to you if it goes wrong or needs adjustment!

Agreed mate had exactly the same thing here, he must have left 3 metres of cable behind my dash. Avoid GAP

So is the Clifford Advant Guard 5.5 an old alarm?
