michael
Squires regulars will recognise this one, it's old news but I can't seem to see anything about it on here - if it was posted it might have been when I was "away" so I missed it. And a story from the local rag with "interesting" comments about the "Celica" http://www.yorkpress.co.uk/news/yorknews/display.var.1546113.0.lucky_escape_for_family_in_street_smash.php I spotted it here: http://www.jap-club.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=18130&

juanchan
Has anyone read the responses to the article on that York Press site? There are some incredibly narrow-minded t*ssers out there to say the least. Apparantly we're all being tarred with this brush..... "Yet another idiot in a modified car. Wish they'd all wrap themselves round a tree rather than tree the roads of York as a racing strip."
Gruggs
rain and rwd at a guess lol Its just when you see the street so he shouldn't have been speeding excesively and then you see the amount of damage to the front. Must have been doing something fairly stupid there. G

This one if you didn't read it: "What an informed and mature response. Wishing crashes (and no doubt injuries and death) on drivers who (of course) are all idiots purely because they drive modified vehicles. I drive a modified vehicle and I'm a female solicitor in my 30's -obviously an "idiot". People have accidents for all kinds of reasons and I hope that if you have one people aren't as quick to judge you in the same harsh manner you've just done others. I'm a great believer in "what goes around comes around..." "
Havard
Yes it was NA. I had a really good chat with the driver too as I couldn't believe how wide the rear wheels were!! Was quite a tidy car too! How he's lost it there I will never know!! H.

dangerous brain
Ah yes. Humungous extremely wide tyres on wet roads is like trying to drive on compacted ice. Doesn't take too deep a water and you just start skating. Alot of people forget that. In the winter you really are better off sticking some much narrower wheels on if you are going to run a car like this all winter.
