JustGav
Erm, dude... Firstly.. JZA80 is the chassis, the engine's are both 2JZ, with the NA being a 2JZ-GE and the turbo a 2JZ-GTE. You will engine, ancs and ECU's. It is a fair amount of work, but a fairly easy job.
AndyT
N/A TT should read N/A T lots less bother and expense..
debonaire9989
in one of my first threads i did reserve the right to sound dumb!!
hoff
What sort of cost for the conversion is usual? Minus labour, the girlfriend bro can do it.
JustGav
No chap, not taking the mick.. I've done this conversion, but I used a VVTi engine and then went single, and I had to do a fair bit extra due to the ECU/dash/looms issues. However if you fancy doing it and have the resources it is a nice way of doing it. (Not the cheapest but definitely a way forward)

JustGav
Which gearbox do you currently have, also the engine you are looking at, what does it come with? ECU? loom?

Sounds very cheap for a TT engine mate. Make sure you get the mileage of it and that it's been serviced or you could be buying a load of trouble. Envy states about 5.5 k for a full single conversion everything done. Worth thinking about..
Matt _Aero top_
If its an standard N/A auto box there good for 350 BHP arn't they ...... Waiting to be corrected ...lol
Jezz
£2k for the complete conversion kit from me, including engine with all ancilliaries, TT autobox, all looms and pipework with intercooler, prop, diff, and anything else you need. We have a very well known Supra technical guy using our workshop on monday, as we've donated an NA - TT conversion to document the conversion process, as some information about autoboxes locking up needs to be put to bed. I'll be posting a full write up with pictures once its completed.

JODY T
You will need Engine + loom + Ancill' Intercooler + Piping ECU TT clocks Thats pretty much the minimum needed to get it going... Different gearboxes etc are worth it, but can be done at a later date...

Hmmmm , maybe a better option then the N/A-T conversion , What kind of mileage will be on the engines jez and can you say the engines will be in good condition internally . Yep, we only use sub 80k engines for the conversions, and they are fully tested for smoke, knocks and rattles etc before removal from the donor.
