Went and saw another Uk Supra TT today, it was an auto but i absolutly loved it!

Only thing is the red hazard light thing is on, the owner says its becuase of the active spoiler which is disconnected due to the Gready intercooler getting in the way.

Another thing, the car has HKS 264 cams, i know from past experience that cams can make idle a bit lumpy, is this right? The idle sound was lumpy but i was expecting that. Is that fine?

The cars had quite a lot of work done, and its basically ready for a single conversion, all the engine bits have been uprated etc

Heres the spec:

Antera Wheels

F50 Brembos

Stage 3 Turbo Tech hybrids

Greedy 4 row

Uprated fuel pump

Blitz exhuast

HKS 264 cams

JUN gears

H section rods

je pistons

eibach spring

Koni struts

Titan anti roll bars

TRD Strut brace.

Engine prepared by JPS motor sport

Engine has only done 2k miles since rebuild with Je pistons etc. Only other thing is its got service history stamps until about 60k miles, however after that there are lots and lots of reciepts of service/work done after that but just no stamps in the book.

It however doesnt have any after market management or boost controller etc. Will the car be fine without all this?

I really liked this car and would like the thumbs up from you guys before i splash out my hard earned cash!

Its for sale for £9850, Uk, 94 L, 109k miles, but engine rebuild 2k miles ago. Im sure i can get him down on price a little. But does it seem like a good price, i reckon its pretty good especially for the work done to it! The Brembo brakes are just porn, and musta cost a bomb!

Sounds damn good for the price to me mate. UK injectors will be fine for hybrids but single setup will see them needing an upgrade with something to control fuelling - SAF-II or Emanage Ultimate or BLue I think.

God only knows how much those brakes cost too pal.

I would imagine the sellers telling the truth about the active spoiler hazard light. You'll need to remove the spoiler ECU behind the stereo to stop that if I'm correct. FMICs need that extra room.

Engine rebuild with only 2k on it and all this for circa £9850 - bargain pal.

Any pics?

Good luck and remember to pull the 'what to look for when buying a supra' guide from the FAQ section - this is vital pal if you want to make sure you're getting a good one.

Greg ;)

alright, it hasnt got any finance on it, the company just hadnt updated their records!!!

Ok now, after the Hazard warning light, what should i do? If i get the owner to get that sorted it should be fine ?

I really want this carrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!

94 on an L plate TT auto nearly £10k!!! 109k with the warning light up? Be very careful. I think its overpriced, you could get a VVTI tiptronic for that money. Dont rush to spend your money...

but its a UK car, uk cars a worth more then the imports.

I cant insure the imports, i need a uk car.

Plus its had a lot of work done, should be runnning near 400bhp!

Its had well over 15k spend on it!

PLus its had a rebuild with uprated bits just 2000miles ago! The mileage isnt putting me off much, cos i know its had a new engine put it!

2 k since rebuild? its not even run in or tested yet so what you gonna do if it goes bang again?

There was a UK auto on ebay the other day low miles immaculate never went above £7k if I remember.

Most have spent thousands and thousands on their cars it doesn't mean you get it back..

UK auto's dont seem to make that sorta special money IMHO

Whats wrong with that Lauras car? thats a red auto. Its £6k!! Make her an offer!

Its too expensive......but its your money! :eyebrows:

You keep mentioning insurance are you going to declare all these mods then? Cos that could increase your premiums

i cant seem to find any decent UK cars for less then 9k!

the ones ive seen for little money are a mess!

The engine work was all done a JPS Motorsport, ive had a word with them, its all under warranty anyway. They basically gave me the thumbs up about the car, Im happy, i liked the car a lot, and things i would have got done to the car anyway have been done, just need to sort it out visually.

Ofcourse all the mods would be declared! The problem is i CANT even get insured on imports. I dont mind paying upto 2.5k on insurance. Im 19, on gap year for uni, and have quite a bit of disposable income, my car is my hobby, so i dont mind spending money on it.

TBH the garage is probably going to be loyal to the customer who gave them all the cash for a rebuild so they would say its good.

But if they seem a respectable company you have no reason to think the work isn't good.

I wouldn't worry about stamps in the book if he has receipts etc. Lumpy idle sounds normal ignore that.

I hate buying a new car because I'd get too excited that I want that car and not make sure its the best possible deal I could get. What you need to think is whats it worth and could you get a cheaper, better looked after car elsewhere.

Whats his reason for selling it straight after a rebuild?

Remember he's trying to sell it and he probably doesn't have many buyers as they will be put off by the warning light and high mileage. If I was you and had checked out the car properly and it was he says it is. And the warning light will be a simple fix i'd offer him what a standard one would go for. Maybe 9k and then just don't seem interested if he says no at first.

He's probably struggling to sell it.

nah dont worry, i was going to offer him 9k anyway! :p

The thing is, the car is definatly well looked after there is no doubt about that!

The Guy was going to get a Single turbo conversion done, hence the engine rebuild with the uprated bits.

JPS Motorsport seem to be a good company and know their supra's, theyve got 2 themselves!

He is about to buy a new house at the moment, thats the reason for the sale.
