Hi all, I am about to return to the land of the living ... picking up a 98 VVti 6sp on Fri/Sat so if all goes well then maybe we can join your convoy over to Bovingdon ?

I'm not sure what your planned route is from reading the thread, but I live near Bovingdon so can get you there easily enough if you take a wrong turn.

Hope to see you all bright and early (I'm heading up from my mum's at Folkstone so will be heading up the A2 I guess).

ps. What's a PMR ?

pps. I thought South Mimms is at the bottom of the M1 not on the A41.

ppps. Lots of Speed Camera's on the A41.

pppps. I've got to be at work by 8am ... must be the MkIV bug I'm suffering !

:welcome: and congrats on the VVti...

Since you're coming up from Folkstone, you could come into London and meet us if you can make it on time. We just want to scare the whole of central london into submission tbh lol

PMR446 is European standard for licence exempt, short-range radio equipment. The radios can be used anywhere in the UK and Europe. Some members have them, and some don't - it makes convoys a little easier.

Put your name down when you know you can join us, or let us know if you can't so that we can expect you.

Well, theres still 10 of us, so i dont see why it would affect not going

I'm NOT going

My car gave up the ghost just a couple of hours ago......something to do with the clutch, clutch clip getting jammed / perhaps Clutch cable so the RAC guy said...(got the car towed back home in Docklands.)

Damn....I had nothing else planned for the day....and was really looking forward to this..... :(
