ballsdeep
Hi everyone I'm looking for information on how to do the distributor delete, so I can eye up parts and cost, specifically what's the easies way to achieve this and parts involved? I'm running the e-manage ultimate if this makes any difference. I'm wondering if a remap will be required after? I also have TT cam covers so clearance isn't an issue, which coils are recommended vvti or non vvti Thanks guys any helps appreciated Edited April 19, 2015 by ballsdeep (see edit history)

ballsdeep
Hmm Iv always though I needed the 7mgte cps but it seems I can use my distributor! So my list is as follows TT ecu TT igniter and plug Set of Coil pack vvti or non vvvti I'm still unsure which to go for? Coil pack connectors Wiring skills And to tidy up the 2jzge distributor - billet cover
David P
That's so you can do a distributor delete, without deleting the distributor. The 3 VVTI coils fit under the N/A manifold, the 6 non VVTI don't. Either would be better than 1, see what's around at the right price. ballsdeep
http://www.supraforums.com/forum/showthread.php?778706-COP-with-emanage-ultimate Posted this in the ge-coil pack group but only read throught it properly today it seems someone has managed to use the 2jz ge non vvti ecu to run wasted spark ignition via emanage ultimate so the list has shortened! Wiring is still a blur but I'm hoping Lyndon may be able to help out here? Vvti coil packs and connectors Vvti igniter (are these different to non vvti)
David P
The igniters are different, all the information is in that thread.
Nodalmighty
I would imagine there is some latitude withing the IGF timing or the EMU's ignition advance fudging would cause a code 14.
David P
I have linked this page to the "2JZA80-GE & Coil-Packs" Group, to keep the Q & A's in reference. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/group.php?groupid=

Thanks David, the reason why I asked is this guy looks to be using the non vvti igniter with vvti coils. Pinched these from his Facebook page. I'm not convinced which way to go yet but it may help others?
David P
There are most likely several different ways to achieve this. I suggest that you follow a proven system or you will fizz your chip.
Noz
This image is absolute rubbish. It's not a clear table for conversion. I'm drawing up a new table to try and resolve this. I'm sure this is an easy solution to a guide is possible with some effort.
