The MkII rocker-cover is leaking, it will have to do for now but I need to find a solution for this.

It's a waste of time modifying another old cover, a new one should be easier to weld but would crack on the top as it cooled just the same.

Noz,

This could be your finest hour. :)

Could you laser-scan one and then set a machine about a hunk of aluminium, or make a mould and cast one, or a better idea even?

Noz,

I haven't been able to find a cover that fits, could you please look into my request.

It may be possible to machine a base plate and weld on the remainder?

Let me know what you could do?

I am getting tired of taking the n.s. rocker cover off. :(

This is what I found, the plastic metal has excellent adhesion to the alloy yet had cracked over the joins.

Using my old toothbrush, scrubbed twice with petrol then another twice with methanol and then given a good blathering with a flexible friend. :)

It now has another two chances.

that must be a straight bit of clear road to get a N/A to 123mph :p

Does an NA get to 123mph??? :p

Now the suprastick is sorted, get that supercharger on Dave, and get a vid up already. I'm itching to see this finished now :)

I keep forgetting the n/a needs a long bit of road to hit those speeds, especially Davids with the longer gearing.

Glad to help out again though David

Here's a pic of the N/A loom opened up to splice in the resistor pack, unlike a T.T. loom, 3 of the the injector earth-wires have to be accessed in the under-manifold casing.

I will finish the electrickery tomorrow, the weather today has included strong wind, which is taking heat away from the solder joints.

The injector clips didn't engage and needed adjusting with an angle-grinder for a proper fit.

Mk 2.2 rocker-cover is fitted, supercharger mounted, top-idler and belt fitted, new 550cc low-impedance injectors and tails fitted, charge-cooler brackets mounted and vacuum pipes in place.

Tonight and tomorrow morning is forecast rain.

It's all back on again and the electrickery is organised, I hope it stay's on this time because the wiring would be a wind-up to revert.

The rear of the installation is now tidier and easier to work with.

The Mad Max deed is done.

I will tinker with the ECU and fire it up tomorrow. :)

Good to see her back together hopefully you have more luck this time around.

Cant believe you bought that bonnet to do that to it though :p Are you planning on having it joined together somehow so it just has a bulge, or some sort of vent?

I will make a mould to form a bulge and glass it on.

looking good. i assume tuning tomorrow? what time? il call you again mate?

Rolling road is on Thursday 13th, tomorrow I will set it up enough to drive it there.

Strong winds and fine rain with intermittent heavy showers are not friends of extension cables, battery chargers, electric soldering irons or my Workshop Manual. :(

A couple of (if I had any) hair frizzing belts and I am soaked to the skin yet again.

It turns out that the brand new AEM MAP sensor is a dud and because of this it cannot be driven.

I will organise trailer transport for the morning.

What a wind-up of a day.
