Nodalmighty
I used to have a Bosch 044 fuel pump but it had a meshed bottom for in tank use. Anyone know the part number for one of these? Has anyone used a Walbro GST400 ? Lyndon. Edited June 11, 2012 by Nodalmighty (see edit history)
TheTurtleshead
I think it's called an 040, I have one in mine. You can always use an 044 with a filter sock.
Wez
This is one that myself and a few others used http://www.jayracing.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2_14&products_id=

I ordered 1 of these from Kay racing and they charged me 35 dollars delivery for the filter alone.
Lee P
I keep the genuine Bosch 044 pumps instock and do a fitting kit for it if you still need one
Paul Whiffin
We used the Walbro 400 the other day in a customers Supra and I'm very impressed. Flows more fuel than a Bosch 044, cheaper, quieter, smaller, easier to fit and lighter. Walbro have a new 450 version coming out in the next few weeks too, that's going to flow even more. mwilkinson
I've just read that the new 450 pump will flow enough fuel for approx 800 bhp at 12v and 950 bhp at 13.5v. Not sure what basis they say this on but this would be better than a twin 044 setup.
Luxluc
Paul, do you think a single 400 lph will be enough for 800-900 bhp, or will there be 2ea required?? Luc

I will have a good check before deciding. I want the fuel system spot on for anything from my actual power output up to 900+ bhp. I want to do it once for all so that I won't have to change again ... as I don't know up to where the power may raise (you know me). I fear that the actual twin walbro GSS341 pumps will struggle quite soon. Luc

Luxluc
Wow ... even at your 1000bhp setup
Paul Whiffin
Wow ... even at your 1000bhp setup Yep no problem at all. We run the Walbro on Supra's running around 650bhp without a problem so far, so 2 should do about 1300bhp approx.
