Ossar
Hello, Just got my Supra a few weeks ago and have even got a hold of the full active spoiler setup, even the huge plastic mudguard (or what ever you call it). Does anyone have a guide on how to attach it, like the official Toyota TSRM or some forum post with the details. At first it looks easy but tried it and cant figure out how it all fits together... jonc
Ossar, I fitted mine about a year ago. I will see If I have the photos still and put together a how to for you. I already had the loom in the car so I only had to fit the toyota bolt on parts (lip assy, Undershield, ECU and switch)
Ossar
Same here. ECU and loom still there. Eagerly awaiting a write-up
Dnk
Look on the home page top left under the logo and click on the repair manuals button. All the maitainance guides etc are there, not sure if the active front splitter is in there but worth a look Do you still have SMIC ? If you have FMIC you will have problems fitting the active splitters frame work

They are all for the US model Supra so no instructions about the front spoiler.
Pulley
I've just fitted my an active front spoiler and made my own loom ect, I couldn't find and fitting guides on here but it's fairly simple fitting, just remove standard front undertray, bolt mechanism to chassis legs, removing plastic trim to allow, then refit new front undertray for spoiler and hey presto, I've wired mine so it works as oem lowering at speed but ibcan also override with the down button at any time I can take installation pics this weekend if the weathers good
jonc
Fitted my Active spoiler last year and have been asked for a how to: The items you will need are:- 1. Active spoiler Assy 2. Active spoiler ECU 3. Active spoiler Switch 4. Active spoiler undertray 5. Wiring loom if not already fitted to the car in the factory. 6. 2 & 3 can be replaced with a Garfy built controller (sometimes available on here second hand or I have put a diagram at the bottom which shows you how to make one). The other thing to think about is your intercooler. I don’t think anybody is running FMIC with an active spoiler so you will need to have a SMIC. Firstly I disconnected the battery Next remove the undertray, headlights and front bumper http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?5983-Front-bumper-removal&highlight=front+bumper so you end up with the front of the car looking like this. Next remove the gearshift surround trim and left hand dash panel which gives you access to the radio and mountings. Remove the radio and mounting so you end up looking like this. If you have a wiring loom fitted then the connectors for the ECU and switch are normally wrapped and tucked behind the panel next to the drivers left leg. My active spoiler wiring connector at the front of the car was wrapped and under the drivers side headlight. In the car the Spoiler ECU sits in a carrier above the ABS ECU (If you have ABS) and connects via one of the connectors to the loom. Next I refurbished the stock Toyota active spoiler I got hold of and bolted it to the active spoiler undertray:- Working at the front of the car the bolt holes are already fitted for the active spoiler so the only fettling that was needed was to get rid of the plastic brackets which are used to hold the non active spoiler undertray in place. I tapped out the bolt holes to get rid of the paint in them and bought 4 new bolts and washers (M10 X 20mm I think but you will need to check as my memory is not good). The Toyota Active Spoiler has small hooks on it that you hang the spoiler of fitted lugs whilst you bolt the spoiler to the bodywork. Once the spoiler was fitted in place it looked like this. Next I fitted the switch. It fits on the RH side under the radio and is dead easy to fit. The blank is unclipped and the switch pushed into its place. Before I refitted all the interior gubbins and fitted the switch I just connected it to the loom, I checked the 30A fuse in the kickpanel fuse panel was fitted and good , reconnected the battery and tested the spoiler for movement. Once the spoiler was tested I secured all the wiring and refitted all the parts I removed. Just remember to test the spoiler again before finally doing up the bumper bolts and undertray just to make sure it clears everything. In Auto the Toyota spoiler lowers at 120 Km/h and raises at 70Km/h. Links which may help:- http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?205882-Fitting-Active-Spoiler&highlight=active+spoiler http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?206232-Active-spoiler-woes..&highlight=active+spoiler http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?62263-Active-Front-Spoiler-Wiring/page3&highlight=active+spoiler The job is really basic engineering unless the wiring loom is not fitted then of course there is a lot more work to do. For me the active spoiler is the best front end on a Supra:-
Ossar
Excellent! Make the pics a bit bigger (I know I can click them) so it is easier to follow and more importantly, STICKY THIS THREAD or above post
