imi
Car gets a look at by Ryan tomorrow morning to try and sort out the map. Might not have time for a Dyno run - lets see. Some pics of the interior, I like to keep it simple and clear - no gauges on show. Edited May 5, 2011 by imi (see edit history)
j_jza80
I had the same steering wheel in my Supra, looks so much better with the carbon ring from around the horn button removed
imi
Just got back home from SRR, Ryan worked his magic and went beyond his remit to sort out the sluggish performance of the car. Blackwidow is now back - Ryan has tuned it @ 1.4bar - we will push it later on this month @ the Dyno Day. Big Thanks to Ryan again - now go and get something to eat
imi
Here is a Dyno Plot from the 1st mapping session after the Syvecs was installed (dec 2010). The increase in power is down to the ECU and more so to the free flowing Whifbitz Exhaust that I now have on the car. Leave it to Ryan to comment further if there are any specific questions. imi
Car was down on power and torque yesterday, apparently the Turbo has seen better days (38K Miles). I could feel that the car was not performing a 100%, however acceleration and drivability is still silky smooth - The dyno proved that it is low on power. My Options: Repair the existing Turbo Repair the existing Turbo & Upgrade the cartridge to a T67DBB (is this possible and is it cost effective) Look for a new replacement Turbo that can slide into the existing Manifold and Exhaust setup (T4 / V-Band). sdistc
Sorry to hear the turbo is on its way out... hope one of the traders makes you an offer you can't refuse on a DBB turbo
imi
Removed the intake pipe and took some photos. looks clean to me; shouldnt there be some oil here if there are issues with the Turbo? this bit is a oily, will clean it over the weekend - is this a reason for concern? JamieP
That side just gets fresh air, check the IC pipe as thats the side oil may be present, any play in the wheel?
Homer
As mentioned in PM, you'll need to pull one of the IC pipes post compressor, the simplest one is the pipe conecting to the throttle body.

imi
Throttle Body side Took the intake pipe off again, no play in the turbo blades. Could it still be the turbo? Edited June 4, 2011 by imi (see edit history)

Abz
Looks very clean! No oil what so ever! Could it really be the turbo? What about the cartridge that you and Darryl were discussing?
