Heater matrix: can't get the heater box out

yup the engine bay bits on mine were the only pain in the are bit but now its all back together i cant seem to get it to start it will turn over on the starter motor but it wont fire im pretty dam sure i put all the conections back together its starting to get me mad so ive had to re-install the punch bag in the garage to take out my anger. ive got a clifford concept 650 allarm fitted so i dont know if deturbing that may have kicked the imobilizer into touch

 

any answers would be great as im having to drive my mums ford ka 1.3 L and im bored

Longshot: You know the orange plug with the white cantilever safety catch thing that's in the passenger footwell on the left hand side? Have you definitely locked the catch down? If you don't the fuel pump won't run and the car won't start.
