Daston
Hi guys Having problems fitting the above, how do you get it to line up on all 6 bolts? I can get it on 3 but then need superman to bend it so it fits the other 3....

colsoop
The last one i fitted went on no problem at all. Have you tried lifting it in to position in one go rather than one side at a time ?
CarlT67
Maybe either one of the two are bent, its either the strut brace or your car....
Pete
As Col said, go for both ends at once.

Took the strut to Dave (supraloopy) and even he couldnt get it on! looks like dropping the suspension is the only way
Pete
If you undo all the nuts then raise the car a little the suspension should remain in place and drop the bolts a little should it not?

Pete
thats the plan just gotta get round to doing it. I'm sure you have a spare 10 mins? Put the keyboard down and get your ass outside! (or are you 'working'?)

colsoop
Just a thought but have you tried it both ways round ?
jevansio
Mine fitted on, just though, as said, I think putting both ends at once was the trick, but it sounds like if yours is that tight dropping the suspension a bit may have to be the way
edd_t
am wondering if its because i dont have standard suspension, so the bolts are longer than usual perhaps.

Daston
Right tried both sides at the same time with no luck. Also jacked car up and that made no difference at all as the bolts didnt move. However I am thinking that I dont have Tien top mounts so are they going to be the same as the original bolts anyway? dwayne
my carbing brace was the same. in the end i pushed one side down and finger tightened the bolts and then it was a case of bending it to get it slip over the other side but you do have to put a lot of effort in to get it over. the problem is the bolts are both angled towards eachother so at the bottom it fits fine but at the top its f-ing tight. Daston
well its got to go in for a service and MOT so might get the guys to sort it whilst its on the ramps
Homer
If the bolts are longer than stock you'll need to compress one of the springs (and therefore drop the top mount bolts a cm or so) to get it on
Pete
I note on this SupraForums thread that he had to modify his TRD brace to fit his Teins properly http://www.supraforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=444508&page=12 [edit] - Ignore me. It's because of the EDFCs, no other reason.
Ark
The car must be on a totally flat surface, or body twist will pull the top mounts out of position and make the job difficult. Also check the ends of the TRD bar - one should have three holes for the bolts, the other should have three slots, which means that end has a little bit of manoeuvring space.
