Rob
What a lengthy thread title. Anyways, I did this yesterday, and I think I felt a fair increase in performance. Now this might have been psychological, or maybe because I haven't driven the Supra in anger for a few weeks. Maybe the only real proof would be another 1/4 mile run at Elvington, to compare to my previous times there. Anyway, I've loaded some pictures below for those who are interested. I used a 300mm length of 8mm int.dia. silicon hose and two metal connectors to link the two pipes.
JohnA
It would be interesting to see how it affects the engine behaviour in cold winter days. Fuel consumption will probably go up as it will take longer for the intake to warm up and provide decent atomisation.
Rob
Well, I'm going to remove it before winter sets in, as the car gets pretty damn lairy on icy mornings anyway.
