CJ
Does anyone have any experience of this service? Does it look good VFM? Sorry to be a numpty but this really is not my field of excellence. http://www.talktalk.co.uk/talktalk/servlet/gben-LLU-PageServer?article=MAIN.UK.TALKTALK.STATIC.TESTHUB
Mike
yeah, I heard about this the other day... sounds too good to be true... thought I wait for some recommendations... It's the £11 you already pay to BT for your line rental.. then another £9.99 for you call package with various benefits (namely call other CPWH peeps for free) and 8meg broadband... anyone got it? raymanuk
Looks ok to me Cj as long as you don't download more than 40 gig a month. Free broadband, I don't think you can go wrong. Any one on here have any experience with these guys? You can also compare ISP@ http://www.adslguide.org Good informative site.
Snooze
Nobody even close to this on price at the moment. They are buying business. However, from my understanding, the issues that are making me hold off at the moment: - The 8Mb broadband won't generally be available until BT provide local loop unbundling. Until then you'll probably only get 1-2Mb (although this still works out a lot cheaper than other equivalent packages) - You have to sign up for 18 months. A lot could happen in that timeframe. - TalkTalk are getting flooded with subscribers. They are going from a few thousand customers total to tens of thousands of new sign-ups per week. I'm not convinced their network capability or support service are geared up to cope with it. That said, it's looking like a great package and I'm also keen to start hearing some real feedback from subscribers.....
stevie_b
A newspaper article I read recently said that this offer may well start a price war between the service providers. As Snooze said, what seems like good value now might not be in 6 or 12 months time.
Kittyclaws
I'm with Talk Talk, have been for the last few years, about 5 months ago, changed my line rental over to them too. No problems what so ever. Apart from one,,, BT phone up now and again, saying that they are checking the line, then they ask am i happy with my provider.
