Are they still making their gearboxes out of cardboard and hope though?

Seen a couple, still unsure and think they'll be a bit marmite.

Then again when the ford focus came out I thought I'd rather stare at a dogs arse all day but they're growing on me, the ST is quite nice now.

Having seen that picture I have to admit I wasn't quite right in my appraisal.

I should have put French Audi TT with dodgy electrics.

exactly whati thought when i first saw one :)

I loved these in the early advertisements, but was gutted to read the engine and performance options. I was thinking at the time they'd produced one of the nicest looking cars on the road but at that price level, no matter what engine they put in it you know its not going to be as good a real performance car (engineering on suspension, chassis, braking etc).

Then I saw one in the flesh and it didn't deliver on looks either, so they get points for trying but thats it.

I've never really understood that phrase. Does it's for posers who like cars that look nice but don't care about the performance/speed?

Around my way, I believe the phrase means (roughly translated) "Its a car better suited for women or male hairdressers..."

It may mean something else in other parts.
