When I Need To Find My Paint Code

WHERE WOULD IT BE ON THE CAR ?

mine's a 1996 gunmetal grey metallic sz-r ? if the codes are all the same ?

It's on the chassis plate under the bonnet, drivers side, along with the VIN no. etc. 6NO is the code for gunmetal IIRC.

You'll find the paint code on the information tag under the bonnet on the drivers side inner wing.

The code is staped under the word colo(u)r

Codes are

6NO for Gunmetal

1B9 for Quicksilver

the 2 colours are easily confused unless you see 2 cars next to each other, then Quicksilver is obviously the best

The colour code listed on the VIN plate is the colour the exterior of the car was painted in when the car was new. OK?

The code, as Jake says, is for the base paint.

That gives you the colour and any metallic properties, its painted with clear (lacquer) afterwards.
