Carl_S
ok I got some questions. 1) the screws to release the old units look a bit rusty, I don't have wd40 just bike lube should i use that to help release the screws? 2) I might need to disconnect the and remove battery to gain access to the screws. will that affect my car? I have TOMS racing ecu. 3) My fog lights don't appear to work, does the engine have to be running for them to work?
Carl_S
just the one? yeah they are easy to install. one bolt and two screws lol, ;-) Yeah I thought it was three nut and bolts per side, all 10mm? The long rods with the phillips heads i thought were for the beam adjustment. Don't know.
miko_supra
yup all 10mm. only the airbox needs removing to get access. if you dont have one then no probs
Carl_S
cool. this is what my engine bay looks like so... will have to see if I need to remove the battery. My 10mm tool might be too long to get access. http://img403.imageshack.us/img403/6775/enignejy1.jpg
Ben-san
Ah... the only thing in the way on the nearside light is your coolant bottle, not the battery. It's normally to the right of the horn on a stock car.
Carl_S
cool.. thats no problem Ben San, becuase the coolant bottle just lifts out: it's unsecured. Thanks matey.
