Gadget
I'm having problems with mine at the mo and have a start for you, run an auto diagnostic by pressing the auto and recirculated/fresh air button, whilst doing this turn ignition on and all lights will flash 4 times in 4 seconds, only one light will flash if you have problems. Might help you or might not!!

Havard
Heater Matrix Possibly, the worst job ever if it is. Will a flush do any good? Is it easy to so yourself or would a trip to a local specialist be in order Greg?? Mine is warm but not hot like my other cars. When we test drove mine at the weekend it seemed fine but now the weather is a bit colder it's not as good. Then again, I've not been that far in it since I got it.!! H. When we test drove mine at the weekend it seemed fine but now the weather is a bit colder it's not as good. Mine too, I was thinking of a flush out maybe being the answer. Anyone sorted similar problems with a flush through? Also is there a guide for diy flushing... Ps... I have never written a post with the word 'flush' in it so many times. Sheefa
Havard, flush would definitely be worthwhile. The heater matrix has been done by a few members here themselves. It's just the pure agony oif stripping out the whole dash to get to a small fucking part that's in the worst possible place, and then putting it all back together. Supposedly, garages charge circa £1,000 for this job because of the intensive labour involved! See below: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=96246&highlight=heater+matrix http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=89027&highlight=heater+matrix AND PICS OF JOB!!! http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=73737&highlight=heater+matrix HOW TO FLUSH: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=64575&highlight=heater+matrix http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=90665&highlight=heater+matrix Best of luck guys. It's not a problem really at the moment but I just thought the heater would be warmer than what it is. I've only done 10 miles since Sunday. I did 350 on the way back from Scotland and it seemed warm enough for me. H.

MarkTheBoy
Cheers Greg, Thanks for the links mate, im more motivated to try and sort it out now! Where abouts are the in/out hoses for the matrix? I couldn't see any pics on either of the threads (or was I being blind?) Are they in the engine bay or behind the dash? ta
Sheefa
IIRC mate the hoses (inlet and outlet) are behind the engine bay behind the rocker cover. Can't find a pic anywhere though. Do you have the manual? Greg

imi
with mine, i wasnt losing any coolant for months although the heater simply wasnt warm enough so I thought that it was a clogged up heater matrix, or a duff heater matrix (big bills) and then all of a sudden one of my heater matrix pipes burst and the car was leaking coolant all over the engine and road. Got that replaced and its now fantastic.
