HedgehogSandwich adi
Good link. I got a transmission specialist to do mine (total flush).. its not that expensive. It was £60 for flush, service, and gasket. They have an excellent reputation. The fluid cost me £125 from toyota though, T-IV (i was left with one can spare at the end as they only needed 12 litres to flush it. I can certainly recommend these guys... they really know their auto boxes . They've been going for years and are one of the best. VM Transmission Products (01543 270555). Cannock in Staffordshire. eyefi
i did the flush myself, useing the method above. it worked a treat. i also removed the pan, which was full of sludge, gave that a good clean and also removed and cleaned the strainer, sealed it all backup and after 12 ltrs the entire fluid was changed. this has solved all the niggling problems i had with my box, no more flutter, and the changes r now soooooo smooth. transmission of power to the rear wheels is also alot better. i cant recommend this enough for anyone with 70000+ miles. its an easy job to do yrself, but it does take around 3hrs.
