Headlight cleaning results

Well I have owned this K reg NA Auto for a few weeks now and not got round to starting to clean it and get it ready for my Girlfriend (given it to her as a gift), went for the headlights first as they were very yellow, then gave it a wash and polish, came up ok for a £1900 car, will have to get her along to the meets this year

I used autosol scratch remover and lots of water on the lights with plenty of elbow grease, it just goes to show that if you dont mind a bit of a dull effect then this method really brings tired lights back to life

Just one cleaned

Turned out well is all the staining on the outside of the lights cos mine are bad but only at the top

No they have a dull inside aswell but the 'cutting' of the outside is a 30min job and has made the difference between fitting new ones and making do, and with the car only being a cheap second car that was the perfect result for me

So you dont actually have to split the lens off from the lampholder bit:more:

I did not do this as I would have buggered it up for sure, there is a thread on how to do it somewhere on here, Gazaerojon also does refurbs on here (Custom lights) but I have noticed he has some customers waiting a very long time of late

I am happy with the end result, I put new lights on my other Supra at a cost of £250 from Steve Manley
