ballsoutracing
Have 94 J-spec TT, with uk headlights, does anyone know how to raise the beams, as I obviously don't have the controller to lift them, is it as simple as adjusting the back of them, don't want to ruin the allignment, left right, just up. normore1
There should be three adjusting screws on the back of the headlight assembly. One adjusts heiight of main + dip, the other adjusts left/right aim and the other level of fogs. The main and dip height is adjusted by the innermost (closest to center of the car) screw/bolt (8 mm head I think). The next one adjuster out is for left/right and closest to the outside is fog level.

ballsoutracing
The allignment is very nearly fine, just slightly too low. I assume that this is because being glass headlights, with wot looks like a motor attached, they can be controlled from inside the car like on the UK spec, and they are set to the lowest setting. Does anyone know wot parts are required, apart from the switch, to enable adjustment up and down from inside the car. Where does the switch go in the UK Supras? normore1
There is a Tech article at the USA site: http://www.mkiv.com that describes how to add power adjustment to Euro Spec headlights. North American headlights are also plastic lenses with no power adjust but a number of people have swapped for glass Euro Spec (continent) headlights. Jake
There is a Tech article at the USA site: http://www.mkiv.com that describes how to add power adjustment to Euro Spec headlights. I thought about doing this when I first got my glass headlights but I didn't know where I could get the plastic socket bits to make the connector to the headlight. The mkiv.com article is here if anyone needs help finding it: http://mkiv.com/techarticles/euro_glass_headlight/install/index.html Anyone know where to source these parts? TLicense
Eh? So the UK lights have a motor inside them and it's just a case of wiring it up? Cool!
Ian C
There was a thread on this recently by, I think, Mcanny - do a search, it's got a picture and everything. When time permits I'll harvest it for an FAQ -Ian
