Mcgoo
I have just fitted some reverse el-glow dials bought in steveo's group buy see here; http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=133118&highlight=glow As you can see in the attached picture, the needles won't light due to the original dial bulbs being removed. Is there any reason why I can't refit the original bulbs so the needles light up again? I don't believe the El dials are transparant, so the light from the bulbs won't effect the new dials will it? Any help would be great, thanks.
supra steveo
ive got an idea, if youve take all you dash lights out and you want to stay with the blue colour you could unsolder where youve soldered the the el-glo wires to (witch if you followed my how to guide should be on one of the contacts for the dash lights), then scrape the green stuff covering the brass type curcuit before it gets to the bulb contacts and re solder on there, then get some blue LEDs and on the negitive leg of the LED solder a small 230 ohm resistor i think (ask heckler what is the best coz i cant remember) and then solder them to the bulb contacts, that should give you a good bit of light under the dials

R3DG3CKO ROB
I'm a bit confused as to how these aditional leds would work? would they be located in front of the dials to illuminate the needles?
