Chiefgroover
BTW I have kept the original mid pipe and will map on that also, just a matterof changing the pipe and loading a different map if the notion ever takes me.

Kev.O
There's some nice parts there Ernie, great welding I always thought the stock box wouldn't be able to flow enough air. I'm presuming you've managed to overcome this issue somehow?
Chiefgroover
After measuring the stock air box, which has two intakes, and a decent size ouput pipe, i think the inlet restriction thing is another accepted nonsense, unless your running 2 bar plus or 900bhp etc, at my power level it will make little difference There may be a very small trade off for a quiet car, but that I am willing to have, as I want the car to sound close to stock as possible around town. Trying to stay away from the "tuner car drive" as much as i can. Quiet and quick

Thats a great idea, on a V band flange ? ...my mind is going tick tock now:)
Chiefgroover
Thats a great idea, on a V band flange ? ...my mind is going tick tock now:) My mid pipe is the HKS with the 2 bolt fittings. V banding it is a good idea, no gaskets needed for a quick change Your a genuis in disguise lol :-)~

michel lane
nicely planned out Ernie, I would be intrested to know if the new cats increase your EGT and decrease your power out, especially the torque.
Miguel
Looks like some good fab work there Ernie, although we may have to get you some photography lessons Coming together nicely sir.
Chiefgroover
I expect a small percentage of decrease, I dont mind really as its still very very fast. car runs fine on it, cant really see any changes so far, nearly like its not there only its a little quieter. I like it, so it stays
