michael
It bugs me too. Like people using thing when they mean think! A valid point, I'm dyslexic though.

Scoboblio
Don't forget 'should of' and 'could of'. It's abbreviated as should've and could've.... since when did 'of' end in 've'? Hmmmmmm?
michael
.... since when did 'of' end in 've'? Hmmmmmm? "have"
Scoboblio
"have" That's my point, 'of' doesn't end in ve.
michael
That's my point, 'of' doesn't end in ve. But "have" does, "could've" is the correct way to write it isn't it? A verb contraction? You can't conjugate "of". I'm not sure if I'm agreeing or disagreeing with you here now.
Scoboblio
But "have" does, "could've" is the correct way to write it isn't it? Yes it is, that's what I'm trying to say. As in, the shortened version is 'could've' which ends in ve, so how the hell do people come to the conclusion that it's correct to say 'could of'? I'm not sure if I'm agreeing or disagreeing with you here now. Agreeing I think.
Thorin
I don't like "could've" and "should've", it's a very messy contraction IMO.

Ian C
I'm sure it's harder than it used to be. 1. Open user profile page 2. Under username there is a "User Lists" drop down 3. Click the "Add to Ignore List" link 4. Add Carl_S Ah gotcha, cheers dude, that'll come in handy. -Ian
