Saturday 18th October

• When: Saturday 18th October (calendar link)
  
• Where: Santa Pod Drag Strip, Northants (map)
  
• What: We have arranged exclusive hire of the FULLY PREPPED drag strip, cafe & facilities for an entire day, queue up & run as often as you like!
  
• Places: 75 max: there are only 15 non-Supra slots available at this time, the rest are currently reserved for Supras
  
• Cost: £55 per competitor, £5 per spectators, under 16s free

NB: All participants do so at their own risk. Reciept of payment will be deemed to mean you accept this and will also follow any safety/etc rules set out for us on the day. No refunds but you can sell your place to another if you drop out at a later date.

• How to pay: Please read carefully...
  
  1. PayPal whatever £ you're paying to the club PayPal account (PayPal account is [email protected]) with "SupraPod " as the reference. Click here for alternative payment methods.
     
  2. Once you've done that, send me a PM with ALL of the following info:
     
     • Your username
       
     • Any PayPal reference/email/etc details you are given when paying so I can tie-up who's paid with what payment
       
     • Exactly what you've paid and what for! (e.g. £60 for 1 participant + 1 spectator)
       
     • Driver's full (real) name
       
     • Make/model of vehicle
       
     • Vehicle registration
       

I will then add your name to the "PAID" list; here in post #2.

Further details about what else will be on during the day, trophies, etc, etc, etc to be added when I know for sure what they will be. In the meantime, get paid-up & signed-up!

Q1: Can I pay by an alternative method?

A1: Yes, but please READ CAREFULLY...

OPTION 1: It is preferable for people to pay by PayPal - it's easier to track and it shows up instantly.

OPTION 2: Cheques are the next easiest to track.

OPTION 3: Then Bank Transfer as a final resort.

Please remember to put your membership name (forum login ID) and a return address on the back of the cheque otherwise we may not be able to match it to your account.

 

Direct Money Transfer

 

You can pay directly in to the club bank account. Please note you must ensure you enter your mkiv Supra Owners Club login name AND "SupraPod"] as the reference for the transfer (e.g. "SteveR SupraPod"). If this is not done we have no way of knowing who has paid and you will forfeit your payment as there is no other means of tracking your payment. It is also essential that you contact Homer when you have made the payment so we know to look out for it. The bank details are as follows:

Q2: What happens if it rains?

A2: The 'track drying machine' will be on standby to cover any showers, Sky Insurance have been contacted to see if they will provide rained-off-entirely cover. Updates when I get them...

Q3: Can I pay on the day?

A3:

- PARTICIPANTS MUST be signed up before the day. NB: Please try not to leave it till the week before, and certainly not the night before, it'll be too late.

- SPECTATORS/EXTRA SPECTATORS can pay at the gate on the way in.

Q4: Can I upgrade from spectator to participant on the day?

A4: Nope, participants must be signed up before the day. There are 75 allocated places maximum so a close eye needs to be kept on the numbers.

Q5: Is it £55 per car or or driver?

A5: Sadly we are limited to 75 competitors and not cars.

You have to go through the Santa Pod signup procedure when you get there which means they will know how many have signed up. Therefore, it's £55 per participant.

Q6: Does it matter if I arrive late?

A6: No, there should be someone on the gate to let you in, and participants can sign on any time after 9:30am, except over the lunch break.

Itinerary

08:45 Gates open

09:30 Sign-on for competitors opens

10:00 Racing starts

10:10ish Demo/beginners run-through, how to stage etc.

1pm good chance they close for 30 mins for lunch

5pm Close

Trophies for:

1. Best 60ft time

2. Quickest 1/4 mile: Supra NA

3. Quickest 1/4 mile: Supra TT/Hybrids

4. Quickest 1/4 mile: Supra Single/big twins/other

5. Best car of show/show & shine

What you need to bring:

Driving License (participants only) NB: the photocard bit is the vital bit if you are a 'new
• style' license holder
  
• Membership Card (everyone)
  
• £5 (exact, please) per head if you are paying on the gate
  

If you don't have a membership card for some reason, print this off.

If at all possible, non-members who have signed up to the event should try to arrive with a club member so we know who they're with. TIA!
