Chris and Alana
Hi guy's, Im going to recieve my RLTC unit some time in the near future and I'm thinking of installing it myself. Have any of you done this before and have pictures of wiring locations etc. I have a 93 GZ (TT auto). Any pics or instructions would be a great help. I've done a search but cant find a 'guide' if you like on how to fit it just lots of descussions and info on the vvti models

Chris and Alana
Do the same installation instructions apply to a J-spec?
RobSheffield
Nope. Best advice is buy a fields harness or equivalent and you need different ABS pins to the US spec instructions above One sec...

Chris and Alana
Very helpfull. thank you very much Looks like I might give this ago myself. I dont have a fields harness, they are a tad expensive and I can get it fitted for the same price of buying the harness so it would be false economy really (even though it would make it easier)
RobSheffield
As long as your fitter likes hanging upside down and dropping molten solder on his hands and arms, then thats fine
Pete
It's not difficult, just take your time and thoroughly test all your connections with a multimeter. For a good reliable job solder rather than connectors and finish with heatshrink.

Chris and Alana
Does this help Just before I try this, is it only the ABS pins that are different from the instructions above? And is it the positive wires marked on the pic given by RobSheffield? Thanks guy's
Pete
And is it the positive wires marked on the pic given by RobSheffield? They're just signal wires which you cut and re-route via the RLTC box. There's no +ve / -ve on these.
