Following on from my other thread (http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=58060), we had concluded that I may have a split pipe or a pipe that had come loose. I was trying to get the car to Whifbitz but couldn't risk it (thanks to Paul if he reads this, who offered to help )
Finally found the problem:

It is a three way connector that only had two pipes attached, as soon as I put my finger over the open end the revs stabilised, so I have capped it off for now. My Question is, surely there wouldn't be a three way pipe without a third pipe, I've looked everywhere for a hanging down pipe but to no avail, as far as I can see one pipe goes to my boost controller the other to the throttle body - what else would be plugged into it?
