SUPRASUZUKI
Had an arthroscopy today (key-hole knee surgery). Had one in my 20's but can't remember a lot about it (now I'm 44). Now my knee aches like a b"%"£$%d. I just hope it's fixed the original problem. Anybody else in their 40s had this done.

SUPRASUZUKI
Thanks for the reply, did it do the trick? Mine was getting to the point where I was struggling to get on the bike.
CJ
Thanks for the reply, did it do the trick? Mine was getting to the point where I was struggling to get on the bike. Yep, worked a treat. I had a full clean out of the knee, cartiledge (sp) sorted and the posterior cruciate tweaked too. Feels superb afterwards (not immediately of course) and still does now. ivan
I had my cartiledge out when I was about 25 the old fashioned way. It left a 2" scar either side of my knee. 10 years later they went back in using keyhole surgery to tidy up because the scar tissue had fused to the back of my kneecap. It's been fine ever since (about 17 years or so) and the new scar has all but gone..
CJ
I wish I could afford to have my other knee done. That is giving me grief now.

And I'm only in my (hundred and) thirties. In my case it was a complete waste of time.
SUPRASUZUKI
Mine seems to be doing well. The pain's gone and I can hobble round quite well at the moment. Currently off work, holding the settee down, much to the annoyance of Mrs Suzuki. I asked her to get me a whistle or bell to save me shouting her when I need a cuppa. CJ
I had mine done at about 08.30 and they then had me walking up and down stairs (albeit stiff legged) at 12.00 noon to make sure I had mobility.
SUPRASUZUKI
I had slightly conflicting instructions. The nurse and physio (both ladies) said 5 - 7 days rest, gentle exercise with a bit of physio. The surgeon (a bloke) said two days rest, then get on with it, but no footie / tennis etc for a couple of weeks. My target is a golf match at in the midalnds on Saturday. It's 50/50 at the moment. Ark
I went to JapShow Finale 2 days after mine. I coped, but f**k me was it tiring, limping around santa pod all day...the extra stress from compensating nearly wrecked my other knee.
