jim_supra
I hate toothache too, but I hate the Dentist more, I am really afraid of them! I will need to go soon though as one of my back teeth is cracked and occassionally hurts. I am dreading going though, so I keep putting it off. Ian C
Wash your mouth out with salty water sometimes helps if I get toothache. I had an infected botched root canal once and that worked wonders. It's no fix for the, ahah, root cause, but it clears up infections and makes things more tolerable in the short term. -Ian
turbonut
I'm sure that many towns now have a 'drop in' service that you can use without being registered to any particular dentist, may be worth checking NHS helpline or some such??? Real bummer that though feel for you fellah Lx
Havard
Make sure you grab hold of the dentists balls and say "We're not going to hurt each other are we?" HTH... H.
Paul
I had a gold crown fall off yesterday, thought I'd book in today to get it glued back then this morning the rest of the 'stump' tooth with filling type mix fell apart:) So now I have a big, deep hole with sharp jagged bits of tooth around the edge but luckily I had the nerve removed years back so no pain, just a bit tender. Booked in for Friday to have the bugger (what's left of it) taken out;) Don't mind the dentist but not too keen on having teeth taken out:(

Thorin
Dabbing clove oil on works, stuff tastes nasty if you get it on your tongue though.
Tricky-Ricky
Got a cancellation appointment for 1.30 today, but have been reasonably pain free thanks to some tablets the doctor recently gave me for sever sciatica, they are designed to work on the nerves,so logical thinking says they should work on toothache and they do:) but they do make me feel decidedly weired:blink: i certainly don't want to drive on them, roll on 1.30, just hope he can find a reason for the ache and fix it. Oddball
Make sure you grab hold of the dentists balls and say "We're not going to hurt each other are we?" HTH... H. But my dentist is female. What then?
neil tt
Its better going to the dentist regularly than not at all, and it doesn't hurt that much if you find a good one
Tricky-Ricky
Well got to see my dentist, which is always reassuring, as he's the best one I've seen, took some xrays, and it turns out i have an infection, but also a deep wisdom tooth which never grew, which he doesn't think is causing the problem, but anyway hes given me antibiotics which should start to sort it by tomorrow, but meanwhile i guess i can take another of those nerve killer pills, even if they do make me feel really odd, but not in a pleasant way:(
