hogmaw
As an exiled Northerner living in London I have just read and enjoyed this book. It reminded me that I have never had a decent pie in London. Tonight we had a pie from M&S for tea, but it wasn't all that. Does anyone know where you can get some DECENT pies in London. Sorry for mis-spelt thread title.

michael
I thought London was the home of pie and mash with some eels thrown on for good measure? Surely someone has cracked it? What kind of pie do you crave?

tooquicktostop
There is a shop in Canary Wharf called the Square Pie factory, they always seem to have a good selection and are always busy, they have branches around London, I have not tried them myself, have enough trouble getting the suit on as it is
jim_supra
Mmmm. Pies. I like pies. There is a great pie shop in the town where I used to live that do the best meat and potato pies (well, i've not found better). I like them so much that every now again when I go back there to see friends I buy a dozen uncooked ones from them to bung in the freezer. All this talk of food has me hungry:)
China Man
Sorry, cannot help you with pie but I like this S&M Cafe. The only pie I get is the one in the fish and chip shop in plastic.

Ewen
Ever wondered what the hole in the top of a pie was really for? Inserting the ketchup bottle and squeezing hard. I'm a fan of M&S Gastro Pub steak and ale pies myself. Excellent thread title BTW.
