SIMON LC Posted December 10, 2007 Share Posted December 10, 2007 Are these Exactly what they are cracked up to be.Last 2.7 times longer than original and 700% stronger?I always like to fit genuine but they sound like they are the business and seeing as you very rarely fit a cambelt I dont mind paying the extra if they are a better belt. Anees Posted November 19, 2008 Share Posted November 19, 2008 I got a price from Chris @ Cheaplexustoyotaparts.com of £25 for the standard belt (I have an Aristo, but its the same engine) and these are around £100+ so are they they worth 4x more?? As for timing belt, imo on a standard setup you should just go stock belt but if running considerably higher power / highly modded then upgrade to something like this ( taking into acoount the price difference ). Chris Wilson Posted November 20, 2008 Share Posted November 20, 2008 On an RB25 or RB26 Skyline engine, that has no automatic belt tensioner they can save a belt retension or two somewhere down the line, but on a 2JZ-* engine with auto tensioning?
